My friend and I stopped by here last night for dinner at about 6pm. After standing near the "please wait to be seated" sign for a few minutes, a server finally noticed us and came over. We received a surly "You here for dinner?" Before we could open our mouths, she followed with "Well, the kitchen's closed," plopped a hand-written sign to that effect onto the counter, and immediately turned her back on us and walked away. My friend and I simply looked at each other in stunned amazement.

Lowenbrau on tap, nicotine stained walls and free happy hour chicken wings. This is one of my favorite bars in Seattle. It's a dark, underground, hole in the wall where the bartender pours a serious drink. Not a place for lightweights. It's so un-hip, it's hip.
