from The Great American Music Hall
San Francisco's oldest and grandest nightclub, the Great American Music Hall carries guests back to an earlier, more elegant era, with its ornate balconies, soaring marble columns and elaborate ceiling frescoes. Long-time customers and newcomers alike feel at home in the 5,000-square-foot concert hall that symbolized renewal and optimism when it opened in 1907. Today, a professional sound and lighting system, two full bars, a modern kitchen and a spacious oak dance floor help to blend contemporary quality with turn-of-the-century graciousness.

The interior is amazing. A truly historic landmark that has hosted some great shows.
Truly is great for shows. Small enough, big enough, great fun

What a cool looking venue. I had heard a lot about it, but at first when I walked in it was pretty dark and I forgot to look around. Once the house lights came up I could see all the detail work and the moldings that make this turn of the century space, with soaring ceilings, so impressive.
I also found bar prices here to be reasonable, with most drinks coming out in the $5-$7 range. All in all a really well run, clean, cool place for seeing live music. Cursive was great too!
